| Home Shop Ensembles Collaborations Music Libraries Gallery Contact | TAORLUATH This is basically a grip with an additional ‘E’ gracenote linking the last Low ‘G’ to any next melody note. Consequently, it is not possible to play a Taorluath to any note above ‘D’ although it is possible to play from any note. As with grips, a taorluath from D cuts the low G with the B finger. Order of Events: 1. Note - ‘E’ in example 33. 2. Make Low ‘G’ (putting down little finger first). 3. Make ‘D’ gracenote to Low ‘G’. 4. Make sure to sound and FEEL the second Low G before moving on! 5. Open ‘E’ gracenote. 6. Change to next note - Low ‘A’ in example 33. 7. Close ‘E’ gracenote to end on Low A (next note). From ‘D’ (example 34): 1. ‘D’. 2. Make Low ‘G’. 3. Make ‘B’ gracenote to Low ‘G’. 4. Make sure to sound and FEEL the second Low G before moving on! 5. Lift ‘E’ gracenote. 6. Make next note - Low ‘A’ in example 34. 7. Close ‘E’ gracenote to end on next note. Example 33 - TAORLUATH FROM ‘E’ TO LOW ‘A’.
Example 34 - TAORLUATH FROM ‘D’ TO LOW ‘A’.
